Reaching the unreached villages in Gujarat

Here are some updates from the Trust for Reaching the Unreached (TRU) in Gujarat:

— distributed one month’s worth of medicines to nearly 350  patients in different villages. 111 kits each having 6.5 kg of grains and pulses are prepared for distribution out of ration for the girls in GEP. They are to be given to very poor mentally ill patients depending on daily wage. Some are given to a few laborers who came back from far off places and do not have any means in the villages.

— If the PDS opens up there will be no issues mostly. The government has also established a supply chain for PDS- hope that works well. But our workers are brave. They are keeping an eye on the situation, preparing kits, grains, pulses, poha, and collecting information from the ground.
