Peace, Justice and You(th) conference 2026 in Edison, NJ
Are you a young person with ideas? Have you ever been in a situation where you thought something was unfair or needed to change? When you hear that something is impossible, do you dream of a world where it is possible?
Together with people of all ages, would you like to explore what peace and justice mean to you?
Whether you are a teen, tween, toddler or twenty-something, AID welcomes you to the annual Peace, Justice and You(th) conference where workshops in law, media, theatre, art and writing encourage you to ponder and express your ideas about the world and what would make it a better place. There is also time to learn from grassroots activists and ask questions about their work, strategies, victories and challenges.

This year we meet from May 22-25 at the Kiddie Keepwell Camp in Edison, New Jersey with plenty of outdoor space as well as on-site dorms and conference rooms.
The annual conference of the Association for India’s Development takes place at the same time and venue. Parents / guardians as well as interested youth are welcome to attend sessions of either conference as they wish.

What even happens at the Peace, Justice and You(th) conference? The youth-led steering committee is busy chalking out the agenda as we speak! Some of it will be similar to prior conferences, some of it will be brand new.

At the law workshop, kids propose laws that they feel would help make life better or solve specific problems they face in their own lives or those of others. Above are examples of laws proposed in a prior Peace Justice and You(th) conference.
Facilitated by a past member of Maryland Youth in Government, the law workshop encourages young people to think through policies and their impact in the real world.
