Notes from Agri cell call July 20, 2016

Categories of activities

Data gathering/Research
Sets of metrics/indices of activities (measure impact in India)
White paper
State of affairs (2-3 lines of where we are as AID in any areas of Agri)
Platform – where we can do presentations/charts etc. And how can we can connect it to Agri page on Website (Rohit)
Maintaining Agri page (Ramesh)
Policy/advocacy – asking for certain changes in the Government
Understanding of projects/creating linkages
Social media – presenting projects, advocacy work
Video screenings and discussions (videos on pesticide issues)
State models – Agri policy evaluation in states (could be a standing item in calls). Will be very useful to also use in campaigns
Compare to other countries (Brazil policies)
Agri support systems in other countries and how they apply to India (Kiran to share, others could expand and look at more detail towards specific countries)

Understanding of issues

Agricultural economics (Prices, credit and banking support)
Land redistribution/reforms in Kerala/WB
Land acquisition issues
