It is with great sorrow and a strong resolve to fight that we pay our respects to the families of many people around the world who have lost dear ones to COVID-19 that is now also rapidly spreading in India and the US.
India is in a state of 21-day lockdown to arrest the spread of the virus. For the many who survive on daily wages and do not have the resources to stock food, they have to take on COVID-19 in a state of hunger. AID has over a hundred partners in different parts of India working with underprivileged communities and is in solidarity with several eminent social activists and grassroots movements. Our partners and volunteers are already working to identify vulnerable sections and are appealing to the government to use the Public Distribution System and other ways of ensuring people can survive COVID-19 with strength and dignity. However like migrant workers who may not have ration cards we are finding many are being left out. Your support through AID’s COVID Relief Fund for India helps provide relief to such underprivileged sections of the society so that they can face COVID-19 and the lockdown that is trying to contain its spread.AID Responds to COVID in India Donate to COVID Relief Fund
