June 3 @ 5:30 pm
Association for India’s Development
Meet activist Kiran Vissa and here directly from him the lives you have touched!
Back in December 2016, we shared with you the story of farmer Panduga Kanakamma. When her farmer husband committed suicide, she considered leaving farming and withdrawing her children from school. With sheer grit and with help and support from AID’s activists like Kiran Vissa and others, she kept farming and has been able to take care of her family. Whenever our farmers/annadaatas take the extreme step of suicide, all of us want to know the answer to two questions – why? and what can I do to help? On June 3rd, at our annual fundraising dinner Milan, hear Kiran Vissa share answers to both these questions. Here is a sneak preview.
Milan provides the perfect occasion to understand and act on the best ways to effect long term change and make sure our food providers never have to take the extreme step of suicide. Do join us at 5:30PM on Saturday June 3 at RCC Clubhouse, 1621 Martha Terrace, Rockville MD 20852. RSVP here
