Healthcare for last mile in India – Dr. Yogesh Jain’s US Visit

Dr. Yogesh Jain, a dynamic doctor and one of the founding member of Jan Swasthya Sahyog (JSS) (People’s Health Group). is visiting many AID chapters from September through October.   JSS has provided low-cost & effective health care to over 1.5 million people across 2500 villages in rural Chattishgarh annually. As an expert in the healthcare issues that rural communities face as well as the solutions for these issues, Dr. Jain has worked on developing the blueprint for Universal Health Care in India and has worked observing health and illnesses through the lens of hunger and extreme poverty. Dr Jain is one of the 23 NCDI commissioners for Lancet Commission on Reframing NCDs and Injuries in the Poorest Billion. He continues to advocate based on his lived experience for the poorest and marginalized.
