Cyclone Hudhud (Andhra, Odisha) Relief & Rehabilitation – October 2014

Cyclone Hudhud has wreaked havoc in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Heavy winds at 200 kmph has damaged houses and brought down electrical and communication systems. Damages are especially severe in Visakhapatnam, Vijayanagaram and Srikakulam districts. Visakhapatnam is the worst affected.
We have been able to get in touch with our partners on the ground very briefly as mobile phones and most landlines are unreachable. But we are trying our best to provide the help immediately. There is an urgent need for relief and we recognize it will be a long way to recovery.
