AID is the sole owner of the information it gathers, and will not share donor information with outside parties unless we are required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts of the law, or cooperate with law enforcement agencies. AID will not trade, share or sell a donor’s personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.
After you donate your name, address, phone number and email are added to our database of donors. AID volunteers keep you posted on the activities of AID and its chapters, through emails and periodical printed publications. Users can unsubscribe at any time using instructions found at the bottom of each email and publication.
AID is committed to protecting donors’ personal information. Your submissions are encrypted and secure from outside users via Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, the industry standard for secure online transactions. All personal information including credit card number, name, and address – is encrypted so it cannot be read as it travels over the Internet. Your browser may detect this encryption by displaying a padlock icon or message.
The donor database is stored in a secure portion of www.aidindia.org behind a firewall.
If you experience unauthorized or erroneous use of your credit card account, please contact AID by sending email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
