Volunteers meet in Chicago

AID Conference 2017 — Over 100 AID volunteers from 24 chapters met in Chicago over the Memorial Day weekend. We had an amazing line up of talks by keynote speakers working at the grassroots in India: Dr. Aquinas who works in malaria prone tribal villages on Health and Dayamani Barla about the Adivasi struggles.   Experiences from AID India’s Eureka Education effort were shared by Gomathi and Damu.  Jeevansaathi Kiran spoke on the Agrarian crisis and work AID and its partners are doing to support the farmers. Several engaging volunteer site visits and experiences from India were shared. And, of course, the conference wouldn’t be complete without young AIDers, who motivated and energized the group!
