 The situation continues to be grim for the millions affected by Cyclone Aila. Despite very little attention by the news media, we need to work hard keeping in mind that almost a million people are now homeless in West Bengal, the Sunderbans are facing another submergence with embankments breached and high tide on June 6, and over a hundred deaths have already been caused as well as the fate of the endangered Bengal Tigers is still unknown. We urge people to donate generously to the Cyclone Aila Relief fund which helps relief and rehabilitation work in Cyclone Aila affected regions of India, particularly the state of West Bengal.
