Venktesh Iyer (AJS 2000-2002), a former AID-Penn state chapter volunteer and a material scientist from Penn State University and researcher from Univ. of Delaware, worked with the veteran engineer-activist K. R. Datye to evolve a variety of energy systems which could maximise India's bio-mass wealth. With Jeevan saathis Ravi & Aravinda and long term partner from Mozda, Michael Mazgaonkar, he visited the Narmada movement villages to help with efforts such as pedal power generation and sustainable development. |
