school childrenCincinnati has been supporting this project since 2003-04. The project has accomplished building infrastructure till class IX with 318 students currently enrolled, as of 2007. In addition to education the NGO is working on livelihood and income generation in the target areas and also in the campaign to establish child rights. The NGO has established textbook bank for the poor children with the village information center and also started a mobile library. 50 women SHGs have been formed. Five youth team & 50 adolescent team, formed as a part of community health, helped carrying out immunization programs of government health sub-centers, encouraging couples for temporary family planning program and establishing health clinic with the assistance from govt and the community. They are also giving training/orientation on reproductive health (RH), primary care, HIV infection, food processing, nursery and gardening. Total sanitation and immunization and 90 % retention have been resulted in 13 villages out of 23 villages. Above 90% of children and over 80% of pregnant mothers are under immunization program. Weaving Training centre has been created providing income to at least 15 women at about 500 / month. AID Cincinnati has approved $6677 for the year 2007-2008.
