Association for India's Development [AID] along with 'International coalition for Justice in Bhopal' calls for Undoing injustice to Bhopal survivors and ensuring No more Bhopals in India 4:00 PM, Monday, June 14th 2010 In front of Indian Embassy, 2107 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC Dear Friends, The world's worst industrial disaster that took away over 20,000 lives has been reduced to the equivalent of a road accident. Seven persons, who knowingly approved cost-cutting measures compromising the safety and disaster mitigation in the plant, who knowingly approved an inferior technology that resulted in this disaster, have been awarded a mere two year imprisonment and then let off on bail. People around the world are angry. Angry at the Indian Government for betraying its people; angry that the world's largest democracy has succumbed to the power of a corporation. Take action for justice in Bhopal, and to reclaim our democracy. Please join us to protest the injustice from caused to survivors of Bhopal tragedy and to show your solidarity and support them.
