Oct 10: Relief in 4 remote villages |
|
Kiran and Suresh from AID along with volunteers from Bhumi (Rakesh and Paresh) and Prashanti from Birds of Same feather and Umesh visited Kurnool and distributed about Rs 2.5 lakhs of
relief material (Sarees, Blankets, Medicines, Groceries) in 4 remote villages (Raichoti, Peddaakothili, Chinnakothili, and Nadi Khiarawadi) on bank of river tungabhadra near Naguladinne, Nandavaram Mandal about 90 Kms from Kurnool town.
Many villages are badly effected and need sustained rehabilitation and relief. Few villages like Nadi Khairawadi are completely washed away and villagers are living in temporary establishment beside the road. Sustained rehabilitation effort is needed.
Their trip helped understand the assessment of the need and a list of things that would be purchased for next trip (most probably on sunday).
Please make a much needed donation to AID's All India Relief Fund.
Thanks for your support and solidarity.
